I think the OOL in the big seabattles is a bit complicated but If I can land the planes after an attack in an adjacent territory that belongs to my side which I think is the case though I don’t remember if the rule book says so. I think I’ll go with damage Battleships then Damage Carriers then Destroyers then Cruisers and I hope you’ll have to retreat at this point but if not I’ll probably loose planes except when I think you’ll certainly win then Carriers before Cruisers. I just hope all attacks look risky enough that you won’t try an attack this round.

Well, there goes my fleet, and my Naval Base that is important for next turn. If I can’t win a simple battle that I had a 90 percent chance for a win with a 10 percent chance for defense, I don’t deserve a win or to continue this game.
Good game, It’s been long, and I thought this was going to be decided in a few turns. But fortune has it decided now. I could not recover from the battle for Berlin, Cpr (Bait-yours to win, but not so cheaply), and Shan state all going lopsided against the allies.
Knocking out your 8 fast movers in Shn (which I should have taken with 2-3 land units) was going to make Japan’s turn very challenging soon, I was going to give you a fun next few rounds in the Pacific and Europe. Now there is no pressure, and more units able to hit India….3 less planes means Japan can now clear z37 resulting in the game ending since Knocking down Japan was my only chance for a recovery.

It was a fun game for me too. It really seems like the dice hate you at least when you roll them and it’s unfortunate that this played a big role in putting you behind. I think your Strategy of going for American Sea and airpower whil ethe other Allies go for ground forces and transport has big merrit espacially in the pacific. I’ll probabyl try it myself in future games if I play Allies.
I wondered why you didn’t go for an early Complex in Spain which would be quite easy to get back even if you lost it and might have given you the edge in American production in Europe. Or as an alternative trying to bring over more ground forces via Transports to Gibraltar or Spain instead of taking Holland or Wfr and threatening Berlin every few rounds.
