Yeah I’ve found two things never seem to work out as well as I hope: defending with infantry stacks or attacking a large navy.

And China, Russia, and to some extent, India have to defend with INF stacks.

Actually this fight was statistically expected.
I had attack power 63 (84 + 83 + 22 + 31) which equates to 10.5 hits.
You had attack power 26 (112 + 41) which equates to 4.33 hits
I rolled 1.5 hits over expected and you got .33 hits under expected. With 21 rolls and 12 rolls respectively, it’s hardly a statistical anomaly.
All the early rolls I get not a single hit @2, you got 8/17 or 39%, I go 0/5.
Yes, you got unlucky with your returned fire here, but I went at you with superior numbers in every case. You should have scored 1.66 hits back, but again not an outlier by any means.

Fact of the matter is an Infantry stack of 11 means 3.66 hits back. Not intimidating at all. Infantry stacks don’t scare me much. Sure it’s POSSIBLE to get an extremely lucky 7+ hits on 11 INF, but the odds are astronomically low.

I understand it was not an anomaly, and that you hit with overwhelming force. But every hit I score helps, and so when not getting my few hits, AND you getting a few extra it can really turn a bad situation worse quickly. Every battle from there own out you should be slightly thinner, especially in the INF, and your not. Nothing meant by it, just commenting on the fact I wish I had gotten my few hits I should have gotten, especially if you are going to be above average, even if just slightly.
