  • Yeah after having cooled down a bit, I’m going to have to admit defeat here.
    Those dice were atrocious but I had to make Germany pay for advancing quickly.

    I don’t know if I responded to the Japanese invasion very well - what do you think?
    I’ve only had to deal with it once or twice, and those games ended quickly.

    I also know I bumbled up the allies in the Atlantic a couple rounds back, but eh.  Their invasion was coming.

    For russian attack by japan, i have recently found out that flying at least 1fgt, 1tac to the east on R1 can make it more difficult for Japan.

    Personally, i was ready to exchange stacks (Sukr and Bry), but i have shot well above odds…specially AAguns lol…

    Just lost a game yesterday where i attempted a G2 Sealion…on rd 2, defense shot 8 hit out of 9 possible…that was game over.

    In Europe, the more i play, the more i feel that in this Alpha3, Uk just has more and more incentives to do Taranto.

    I thought about sending 2-3 armor to the Tim stack, and pushing Japan back across Siberia, but I wasn’t sure if I wanted to pull that much stuff away from the German front where it could not get back to Moscow in time.

    I’m not completely sure how I feel about this iteration of alpha3.
    It seems to me that one cannot take the very close balance of Alpha 2, and then simply remove so much of UK’s equipment while at the same time giving Germany more, and expect things to remain balanced.  Germany took all 3 French territories with ease and had more than enough for 110.  Seems silly to me.  And the removal of Gibraltar/Malta airbases seems like a very arbitrary way to make things more difficult for UK.

    I was hesitant to do Taranto with UK, especially since I’m still nearly playing UK with an Alpha 2 mindset - pull back to 92 and react to G2, or risk an easy Sealion.  I didn’t know how much I should have been afraid of a Sealion.  I know Sealion’s been downgraded significantly, but in light of a stronger Germany I just wasn’t sure.
