  • I think that you are reading the convoy raid rules the way I did for the first time.

    It is an unusual system, unique to Axis and Allies.  It is not that raids hit on a 3 or less, well actually they do since 4 thru 6 is a miss, but if you roll 3 or less, that’s how many ipcs damage you do, up to the territory limit.

    Since the Phillipines have a max value of 2, that 3 counts as a raid of 2.  Japan loses 2 ipcs from raids.

    a little note… its nice to see that there are indeed some drastic changes… just annoying having 2 games of A2, 1 game of A3 (new rules, old setup) and really want to learn and try a full A3 game…
    i think i, during my jap turn alone saw 3 changes i needed to correct… and after the turn i saw atleast 3 other things i should have done differently with japan/axis as a whole…
    including my somewhat limited spare time and i really shouldnt be playing this much AnA. I feel like we should call this game done and start a new one, fresh and “even” if it finnaly is even, start setup and rules… i gotta admit i feel little left out with thoose new setup changes.
