  • you are within your rights to decide after I declare the combat, but please start considering whether or not the US submarine would submerge if the french dst was attacked along with perhaps some aircraft.

    Remember that I would get the NO even with the sub in the med, since you need a surface warship to prevent it.

    if the sub did NOT submerge you could use it as a loss and it would get a surprise attack – albeit on a “1”.

    if I attack it only with air units, then the sub is irrelevant of course.
