I never argued the move could prove a flop for the Raiders, I simply argued they won’t be leaving Vegas before 2030.
That’s Fair and Balanced!
i think it would be fun to see a packer v. bears champ, but it probly wont happen
Maybe because they are in the same conference?
yeah, sure. i dont watch tv, or know anythinng about football, so thats the reason why i didnt know that

barring major injury set backs, GB will most likely represent the NFC in the Bowl. I am a Bears fans, and that pains me greatly to type that.
From the AFC, SD is usually tough, as is NE, Pitts too.
I’m sure you will here people chime in about the Jets or the Ravens, but they’re a tier below the above teams (IMHO). Peyton Mannings injury hurts Indy’s chances…
So perhaps this is the year SD puts it all together and makes it to the bowl from the AFC.
GB over SD.
Texans and Falcons

You might aswell say the Seahawks are in it!

When the Packers line up in 4 and 5 wide, they have the advantage over every team.
Packers vs Patriots
That’s a good one. But I’ll say Eagles and Pats (and I’m a Cowboys fan, if that says anything).
Patriots v Eagles.

Eagles have no backup QB, do you really want to put your hopes and 100 million dollars on the shoulders of Mike Vick? The guy will start strong, second half of the season will fall apart.

Vince Young isn’t the backup? He’s like Vick lite. I know he’s injured, but that’s doubtful when/if the time comes when he’s needed. He’s not a bad QB.
In Vince Young mind he hasn’t left UT’s Rose Bowl Championship game.

Not really a bad thing, though, is it?
It is when Titans gave him every chance to be the leader of the team, they wasted years on this guy. He can’t make many types of NFL throws. He buckled under the pressure of the Titans, what will he do when we is asked to lead the Eagles and fails, those fans are harsh, they will make his life hell.
BILLS vs ravens
The BILLS don’t win so long as I’m alive.

I disagree. He had a solid QB rating. The Titans had a losing record without him, and a winning record with him (by a considerable margin between the two). He dug the Titans out of a winless 2009 season to go .500 The only problem he had really was injuries and being new. I think he’s fine for a backup and even a starter for many teams.
My question to you is how can you criticize the Eagles for their backup QB when you’ve got the Packers with a backup of mostly unknown ability (one good game, one bad game) and the Chargers with an old QB that has posted some decent numbers but far too infrequently and not at all recently.
In a serious conversation about backup QBs, Young will always be mentioned before Flynn and Volek.
You are forgeting Volek’s playoff victory over the Colts? Volek is a top ten backup qb.
I watched Flynn play football for Robert E. Lee Red Raiders in Tyler, Texas; where he won a State Championship and for LSU where he won a National Championship. Sure he was a 7th round pick, but wasn’t Matt Cassel a no name guy. Flynn has had several years to work in that system and Green Bay has a history of producing good back ups.
Vince Young is worshiped in Austin, Texas. His college and high school fame has led to a poor work ethic. He is a great athlete, but he is the worst passer in the NFL. He has never corrected his throwing motion. He divided a coaching staff and ownership. It’s well known that he can not read defenses.
I picked Green Bay because they are a difficult to matchup with and they have depth. And I picked Chargers because I figure sooner or later a good team will make a run, if they can get special teams working.
