I am from IL but will be traveling to San Francisco for Kubla Con Memorial day weekend. I had trouble locating the A&A players last year until I found out too late the war gamers were given a space outside the hotel in a large banquet tent. I see there is a classic 2nd Ed tournament offered, but I’m more interested in a casual game of global. I’d also play anniversary or 1942 2nd ed. Any other player headed to Kubla?

If you follow the links, you will see the details for the rules. Kremlin gives you all kinds of options to start the game. Things like early landings in WAfrica, having Turkey, Switzerland or other neutrals starting the game as your ally, adding a battleship to the South Atlantic for Germany and many, many more. It can completely change the playout of the game and because the restricted Tech rules, Technology will likely not play as bid a role as it can in regular 2nd Edition games. Give it a try and you’ll see that it makes the game a very different one.

Greetings Gamers,

We will be starting an Axis & Allies club at JAC Games in Akron, Ohio. JAC Games is located at 1101 W. Portage Trail Ext. in Akron
Ohio. Our phone number is 330-475-7468, and email is jacgames1@yahoo.com

We will be meeting on the last Saturday of every month at 7 p.m. and playing as late as everyone wants to. We’ll be playing the newest version of the Axis and Allies board game. We will deviate into other A&A games and also plan to run an ongoing variant version of the game that we have played for many years. The variant version is played on a very large custom made map with anywhere from 6 to 12 players, it’s more of a free for all style game where natural allies are formed based off of the conditions of all the worlds powers.
