    I found a mistake in US turn: you took Marshall Islands to complete the 5 of 7 islands NO, but in fact, Marshall Island is not part of these 7 islands… It is Marianas that count for this NO…
    So, either you got to Marianas (but there is about no way you are going to be able to defend your tr in there) either you keep your move like that, but then you don’t have the NO for the 5 of 7 Islands.

    Lol…completely forget about this post also…lol, just forgot You had Guam…so no problem, you got your NO for 5 of 7 islands, and your move in Msh stands…

    Hmm…Russia can only DOW at the collect income phase of it’s 4th turn i think. You can’t make any Combat move during turn 4 as long as i didn’t DOW you previously with Germany or Italy.

    I was wondering about that, I read through the rules and it said may not declare war before turn 4 unless provoked declared war on.

    So in Alpha 2 or in the rules it says cannot declare war at the start of turn 4?
    I read through the rule book and it says may not declare war before turn 4 but nothing about during the start of turn 4.

    Right now, i must confess : i feel extremely stupid !!  :oops: :oops: :oops:
    I’ve played dozens of games, believing that Russia could only DOW Germany/Italy only on Collect income phase on turn 4 when Ger/Ita didn’t attack Russia previously…
    It never happened before (in at least 30 games) that my oponent chose to attack me with Russia on turn 4…I just can’t believe it…how is that possible !!!

    And myself with Russia…There has been a lot of times i would have loved to attack with Russia on turn 4 and thought i wasn’t allowed…

    Geez…really feel dumb right now… Well, that’s what happen when you don’t own the Rulebook and take for granted what you’re being told the 1st time you play…

    Ok, i’m still at work for now, but will post G5 within a few hours.

    My rule-book was the downloadable PDF for Europe 1940.
    I’ve already made a ton of mistakes this game which is expected being my first game, but I have used it as a spring-board to test start new games and try a few different things.

    I was kind of worried you were right but a turn 5 attack would leave Russia out of position and never able to get any German Territories (more a Axis advantage)
    I could have strafed and hurt your Hungarian stack…it was tempting to deprive the Germans of upfront units… just didn’t position myself correctly enough for it.

    That and I keep forgetting to bring my AA guns around…I keep forgetting from Revised days to keep them with the Factories to protect them…

    I must admit I am surprised to through the surprise Russia attack on Round 4 then for the first time on you.
    At least I can take that with me from my first game.

    I just got back from Hockey… I’m the goalie and we just won our first game of the tournament, a complete upset… 11-10 final score after 45 min of ball-hockey, not bad considering:

    1. we were down 5-2 still in the first 10-15min of the game and
    2. we never beat this team all year even in a single period…I guess that shows anything can happen

    Concerning our game, since 1st turn i’ve been noticing that your play was just excellent considering it’s your 1st game.
    I’m ABSOLUTELY NOT considering this game as a “walk in the park”.
    Was thinking you’re gonna be a VERY TOUGH opponent once you’ll have a dozen games under your belt…
