I was leery of a J1 DOW too, if it just consists of Philippines, HongKong, Borneo, and British battleship. But there is another piece to it that can make it really REALLY bad news for the allies: send the destroyer, carrier, fighter, tac off Carolines to sink the destroyer & transport off Sydney and move the large fleet off Japan to Carolines. This little maneuver costs you a carrier, but forces ANZAC to blow the 3 fighters and cruiser to sink it, or face a bad convoy raid and be land locked forever. UK Pacific will be broke and so will ANZAC once you take Malaya J2. All they can really do is sit and build infantry, so with UK Pacific and ANZAC poor and useless, it is up to America to spend all income in the Pacific. That gives Germany/Italy TIME to kill Russians, especially if Japan pulls out of China and goes into Amur J3 or 4ish to reduce Soviet income. So with that extra ANZAC piece thrown in I am now liking J1 DOW because it throws the allies back on their heels so badly that it helps a Europe win even with America earning more early.
