yeah a definetly must see Movie…got the book as well, one of the first ones…
U 571 is not even getting close to that movie…Emmerich did a good job w.a diffrent story in that movie but messed up on a couple of things…
I would love to see the Movie remake of Haie und kleine Fische \ Sharks and little fishes (author : Wolfgang Ott)

Thank you for recommending this. By pure chance, I stumbled upon a broadcast of “Die Brücke” on ARD last night and though the film had already started, saw most of it. Very impressive indeed.

Love Das Boot. My wife lent mine out. Am dying to rewatch it. I love the scene with the Captain on the bridge and the theme tune playing. Sends a shiver through me!
My ring tone is the theme tune. Often do not answer the phone just to listen to it. -
I hope that I can make it one time to Laboe to visit the Submarine they still have from WWII in North Germany.
I had the option once to go there but thought I would need more time to see just everything on and in it.
