I have a great little players group that plays AA50 these days. We’ve been together since 1993, playing Gamers Paradise expansion rules, then Revised, then the ultimate Revised variant: Enhanced, and now on to AA50.

First off, it’s spelled Charleston, IL.
Second, I used to live in Champaign, but I have to say there isn’t much gaming around there.
If you’re ever up in Champaign, go to The Dragon’s Table and tell John (owner/operator) you’re into A&A.
There’s anything going on he’ll know about it.
They play alot of board games, and occasionally you can talk someone into a game.In the meantime, GenCon here I come!

I will say that the day after Thanksgiving is a traditional day of war here in Homer Glen, Ill
we play AA50 (1941), with a few tweaks called ‘The Chicago Rules’

We should set it up at a place in chicago if possible, much easier on the majority of players me tink.

We’d probably all have to meet up in Chicago. You from the north and me from the south. It would be cool to try to set up a place and date to get a group together sometime this year. At the moment I don’t think I could make it all the way up there.(From Charleston, IL) Maybe in the spring if my job search turns around and I actually have more money. haha Crossing my fingers for my interview tomorrow. lol
It’s always so hard to find the right people near you who are into long strategy games. haha I love playing Conquest of the Empire, Napoleon in Europe, all the A&A’s, American Civil War, and I just got Star Trek Fleet Captains(Sweet game).

Well I just looked up where you are, and yes, you are a bit of a ride to Chi-town.
To my hometown, it’s 180 miles. A good 3 hours.
