Got it, I didn’t see that I also had a FAQ, was thinking I only had the CLASSIFIED clarification
Now I see my specific question is answered, the carriers could not even split up during a combat move that ends in the same place
What is the rule for US movment in Pacific before it’s at war with regard to
using friendly sea bases, i.e. like ANZAC sea bases
Allowed.stopping in sea zones with friendly ships, again like ANZAC
Allowed.Alpha 2, if I read correctly, says only that US can’t end movement next to Japanese territory
Correct. So you could, for instance, sail one space away from Japan and be perfectly legal.
My opponent has until the end of tomorrw to get a bid in?
If I am matched with a new opponent, do I get to rebid, as my bid takes into account who I am playing?

Very good question !

Sure.
So am I now playing someone else?
So am I now playing someone else?
Give me until the morning and if I dont hear from the few missing, I will consolidate those who have sent in a bid into new games.

4 Missing bids, will make it easier to consolidate.
Pairings are going to be:
BigBadBruce vs BigBadGoo
Jim010 vs Axisplaya
Assuming I dont hear from the missing 4.

lol…i knew it !!
Ok Jim, be prepared to bid heavy negative if you want Axis against me !
I’ll be curious to see how you do as Axis after you remove precious units from the board.
He could be bluffing.
He could be bluffing.
I never bluff…I bid -25, no axis AA Guns! muwhahahaha…no, wait, nevermind, no I didnt.
Updated the matchings to reflect the loss of 4 players.
If anyone has suggestions on how to handle the loss of 2 losers and 2 winners from the brackets, feel free to let me know what they are. Currently, I am considering taking the two winners from the fastest completions and letting them also move into the loser’s bracket. (By date, not by round number). The idea is that they have more time to play so won’t slow anything down. But if there is a better idea…
I would change the 4 Games with forfeited players to Games 1,2,3, and 4. Assume the forfeited players lost round 1 and move them to play each other in rounds 1 & 2 of the losers bracket… this will give 1 person a forfeit win in round 3 of the losers bracket.
In the winners bracket Jim, Axisp, BigGoo, and BigBruce would be in games 1 & 2 of round 2 having won the first round by forfeit. This essentially changes nothing and gives them and extra month to finish their games since they have already finished round 1
If you felt like being nice and a forfeit player shows up at some point they would still be in the tournament in the losers bracket.

Neutral powers like the US can’t use naval bases belonging to other powers.
Here is a visual of what I’m saying for the undefeated bracket. (I borrowed Darth’s lovely artwork from the AA50 tourney).

Question
UK has 6 SS in SZ 110 (no other surface ships or ships just 6 ss by themselves)
If I bring 1 surface warship + transports I can ignore the subs correct for an amphibious assault?
If UK choose to Scramble that doesn’t activate the subs against my transports and 1 Surface ship does it?
Would the scramble of planes only help defend against my 1 surface ship and any plans I may bring to that sea zone to defend my 1 warship?
Scrambling activates the subs.
More exactly, any battle in a sea zone will have to bring all units in that seazone into battle. Otherwise you are picking and choosing who is in the battle.

Pairings are going to be:
BigBadBruce vs BigBadGoo
Jim010 vs Axisplaya
Do I have to rebid? Do I have to wait to start game with BigBadGoo?
You must rebid or tell Jennifer if your 1st bid stands.
