Hello, sorry but have been very busy these last days.
Still at work for now, but will post within a few hours.

You won’t believe it : i’ve learned today that Russia could DOW Germany at the BEGINNING of it’s 4th turn, while i’ve been believing since the start that Russia could only do that during the income phase of 4th turn (like the US at the end of 3rd turn)…

I feel soooooo incredibly stupid now…I have played dozens of games not knowing this very basic (and of utter importance) rule… :roll: :roll:

That’s what happen when you don’t own the rulebook and you take for granted what you’re being told the 1st time you play…
What really amazes me is that, until today,  none of my oponents has ever done a CM on my germany with russia on R4… :-o :-o

That helps to explain a lot.  I was completely baffled as to why you did not attack Germany on Russia, round 4, and take Finland, Romania, Slovakia, and Poland.  I thought you had some really secret plan up your sleeve.  :evil:  Then, I was expecting more of the same on Russia, round 5 and I was thrown for a small loop when you actually did attack.

Well, I guess the positive for you to take out of all this is that now you do know the rule.  Which, it turns out, seldom hurts. :wink:

Anyways, no problem on taking your time to do your turn.  It is only a friendly game we are doing.  So, I await Supreme Allied Command’s decisions for US, China, UK, and ANZAC……

I think you missed my DOW with Italy on Russia.  I did that back on page 9 during I3 in anticipation of R4 attacks.  Even with your misunderstanding of when Russia can do a DOW of its own against the Euro-Axis, you still could’ve attacked on Russia, round 4.

Also, I can not guarantee that I’ll get to our game tonight or tomorrow.  I have a FTF game tonight and then a date with my wife tomorrow night without the kids.  OH YEAH!!!
