That sounds like the way i understand the rules. Moving to an adjacent sea zone then moving to a land territory in that sea zone is 2 moves. Therefore not allowed.

Answer is no!

Just remember only the Europe rule book has the rules about straits.
Only the Pacific rule book has the China and Kamikaze rules.

Can’t think of any others. You would think both rule books could insert those sections into the global rules section at the end.

Interesting idea, and would make for one hell of a night……but if every power had to take the time to write down every move, it might take a while unless they know short hand LOL. Plus it could even slow things down more in the thinking department because now you have so many more what if’s… All hands on deck moving units around afterwards could cause a frenzy too (going to need some kind of order).

I know some people do an all axis/all allied turn order, maybe look into that

Rules are rules anyway, if you want leniancy, you have to ask for it. This would not be a case where I would be inclined to grant it, mind you. If you moved everything from Hawaii to Carlines but forgot to move a fighter there leaving it prone to attack, then I could see a case of “yea, okay, so you intended to move it but it got lost in the shuffle” fine, generally I’d allow that change (for non-league, non-tournament games, of course.)

The Japanese fighters and US subs can’t hit each other, so the fighters will sink transports until the US retreats. Yes. They just need to be the only legal selection for a loss. That might mean that planes have no other target (like this example), or that Sub hits have no other ship targets, or that the defenders hit everything else in a round of combat and need to assign some more hits before the defender retreats. Remember, the defender still has the option to retreat, if they can, and transports are only automatically destroyed when they’re attacked, not when attacking (unless the attacker has no place to retreat).

Well I like it because it brings mongolia into the war. I think Mongolia has too many troops, but well…

BTW they addressed the whole ftrs fly from Manch out to sea and attack Amur. No starting units in Manchuria/korea can be used in the Attack. So those planes need to come from carriers or Japan.

No. USSR may not move into territories outside its own on the Europe map until it is at war with Germany and/or Italy. Also, it may not move into territories outside its own on the Pacific map until it is at war with Japan.

Regarding flights/landings, are islands still part of the sea zone? Meaning, does it take an aircraft 1 turn to enter the seaszone surrounding the island, or does it get that “for free”?

Islands are separate spaces from the sea zones that they’re in. It takes a movement point to enter or leave an island.
