Kilroynothere (Axis) vs Wheatbeer (Allies)

I can see that changed a few things for you. The strats were part of the attack on Gib, but you had all the hits you needed prior, so didn’t change the outcome any. Do you have the Europe rulebook? That particular rule is a single sentence on page 9….  I’ve had the luxury of playing the game sense the very first addition (still have the game as well!). Now with Global, this thing is absolutely huge. I’m really enjoying the new version.

FYI, if you scramble from Gib, you can stop bombardment if I decide to land on MOR. That came out in a rule clarification on scrambling somewhere in the forum. Scrambling is a very powerful deal. Saving your 3 ftrs to end up in GIB was really, really smart. Don’t see how I can get you out of there now.

Hopefully I’ll get my move in today.

I do have a copy of the Europe rules (minus the global pages).  I only played two games of AA40 Europe on the actual board though, and I never played A&A before then.

You might have noticed I have a number of global forum games ongoing now, heheh, sorta become an addict.

I forgot the strats were part of the attack.  Thank you for letting me change that.  We could reroll, but with the additional cruiser bombardment and landing forces, I think it’d likely come out the same anyways.

It is addicting, no doubt. I’ve played face to face forever and just started the forum play. This is my second game. The other is OOB with an old friend. I’ve only played Global aplpha2 twice face to face and lost both times as the allies. Really enjoying trying my hand at the axis.

I have the rules scanned if you wish to have them.

If it fits as an attachment, sure.  I just have a photocopy that’s pretty beat up.

  • 22 21 19 18 17 16

The scan is pretty large. Do you know of a free file transfer site?  Maybe I can figure that out.

And no rush whatsoever. I don’t think I can get to Japan for a day or so at best. Another busy week. Sounds like you haven’t been playing all that long… it is horribly addicting (which it sounds like you have found out). I spend way too much time thinking about it!  But, so much fun.

Japan is going to be such a monster in this game

  • 22 21 19 18 17 16

Yeah… it really has become one. Playing the Allies, I realized pretty early you have to be cautiously aggressive against Japan as UK/ANZAC/China and then wait for the US to get into the war…. just enough to stop them from getting all their NOs and getting too big too quickly.
