Just realized I had to fix the map. I had move the 3inf and art from Lib to Egy for an attack, but forgot to list it or post it. So I moved them back on the map.
You will notice I did the same thing with Germany in North Africa, just before Russia’s turn. Since it was an actual battle and not a walk-in, I did not ask for the battle to take place since I figured it should have been listed. Therefore, I would ask it stand as originally listed with the first round of Ukraine as it was with 1 hit. No need to re-roll Bry and Bel, but just pick up Ukrane from the original roll.

let’s report it to the moderators for a ruling. i wasn’t trying to pull anything over on you OBG, I only re-rolled the first roll because it was entirely beneficial to me and I did not see how it could possibly hurt you or why you would not be willing to allow the untyped combat move since only one roll had been made and that roll was completely benefical to me and entirely unbeneficial to you. i am sorry that i didn’t just stop it right there after the first roll and ask you the question, but I do not see why we cannot use the rolls as rolled and just remove the bst combat move.
i think the fairest way to go is to leave the rolls as rolled and for the combat move at BST to be negated, which is your right to refuse. i do not see any reason to re-roll ukraine when the rolls have already been made and can only improve in your favor.

It does hurt me by taking away an extra defender in Ukraine and the second wave attack that would have taken place. As I said in the message I sent you, I have asked the moderators to resolve it for us since we cannot come to an agreement on this.

I have been sent a message from the boards to a moderator to look into this. I have sent each of you, in the same email, a question about my need to intervene. I would prefer you two to resolve this amicably. Let me know if I must review and make a ruling.

i really do not understand the objection. seems to me the battle of ukraine was already rolled. if you use the first two rolls, the battle is over.

in other words, what I’m saying OBG is I don’t see why it’s not perfectly valid to use the second roll of ukr as the round 2 roll. i think dice as rolled should always be used if possible, and all you would need to do in this case is remove one of your twos from the second round roll and the battle is decided. that and the disallowing of the battle of bst and we should be good. but i’m certainly willing to have an objective third party look at this if you insist. again, the only reason i rerolled the battle was so you could not object, thinking I had an unfair advantage of seeing a positive roll then adding a combat move. the roll was GOOD for me, not bad. you aren’t thinking that I added the combat move in order to reroll the round 1 because I was not happy with 1 attacker hit, 0 defender hits are you?
just think about it and let me know if you still do not agree.

Fruit of the poisonous tree so to speak. However, I tried to be amicable by agreeing to allow Bry and Bel to stand when I did not have to do so in my eyes. But since you insist on going through all this, I sent a message to JWW saying no ruling would be needed since I am resigning. OBG, that seems like a bit of an over-reaction. Why not just let the moderators rule on it? I am not in the slightest bit upset about the issue and sure hope you reconsider. not sure why you would reference the Gamerman incident, that was not even remotely related to a procedural issue like this, it stemmed from much deeper issues going back many years to our childhoods.
in fact, if you had said that if I didn’t agree to re-roll in ukraine as you suggested, you would consider it worthy of resigning, i would have gladly complied. i was just trying to reason with you. if you consider following exact protocol of some sort, i could certainly do so.
please reconsider. we’ve had two very good games and this promised to be a very good finale… if it’s either re-roll ukraine or have you resign, i will re-roll…

I wanted a moderator ruling because it is an objective third party, not because I was at all upset. I thought we had agreed to let the moderators rule and that I would comply with the ruling. In the meantime I was hoping we could still come to an agreement on our own. Why the sudden change of heart?

Not to mention you are in the hunt for the league title and you have at least a 40 percent chance of winning this game. Look I’ll agree to forego the moderator ruling (I’m pretty sure I know how it would go anyway) and refill the entire round if you wish. If so, would you be willing to allow me to make the bst attack? If not, would you allow a Russian walking to Finland? Even if you will allow neither, I nevertheless offer to reroll the entire round. Remember, its just a game right? :-)
Finally, the issues between gamerman and myself were personal in nature and have absolutely no bearing on any of my other games whatsoever.
