Just an update on the Support Drive. For various reasons, including slightly lower expenses, I’m not pushing it for 2020. However, 2021 will not be like that so expect an in your face support drive in early January.

From what I understand, the support drive lasted only a few months and the next one would start up later. Personally, I think these support badges should be available year round and renewable at the beginning of each year.

We will be running our second end of the year support drive to assist with paying for the costs and time for maintaining as well as upgrading the website and forums. I will run this one from December to January. In February, we will start the 2012 Support Drive, which will run through December 2012.

Hmm. If someone were to purchase one Gold Patron support every hour for a full year, that would work out to 24 x 7 x 365 x $50 = $3,066,000. Just think of all the anti-spammer software djensen could buy with that!

The down side is that a stack of 61,320 badges, each 4mm in height (as measured on my screen), would be over 245 meters tall. That would be rather wasteful of screen space – not to mention egocentric on the part of whoever had that kind of money to throw around.
