Few things… Rus had 4 dmg, can’t place all that, go ahead and amend your buy if you’d like.

we both made mistakes, and both are clearly covered by the rules.

here’s how i see it:

1. we can go strictly by the rules - i place 4 units in reserve and the subs stay in place (there was 6.5 hours between your turn and my turn) or,

2. we can make an agreement - clearly leaving the subs in z12 was a mistake and people make mistakes in these games.  i was hoping you would not move the subs - i had considered moving the destroyer, sub, and 2 battleships to z22 on US turn but didn’t want to call your attention to the subs.  when a player makes a mistake you need to capitalize, as i’m sure you are aware.

i am ok with either of these options but as far as an agreement, allowing me to revise my russian buy is clearly not an equitable trade for losing 30 ipc and 5 units of german subs with no opportunity for a counterattack.  if you would like to make a more reasonable offer i could be persuaded to go with option 2.  I’m not asking for value equivalent to 30 IPC (I am reasonably secure in this game and willing to give you a bit of a break) but perhaps you could offer to remove the 4 damage on russia, allowing them to place the 6 units this turn, and give me 2 russian infantry.  that would amount to a 3-1 windfall in your favor.  this gives you some punishment for the mistake but not the full punishment (i wish people would give me breaks like that).
