I figure he loves his job and you dont need to thank him. In fact he should tank you, man. You american tax-payers pay his wage so he can be there and do what he loves to do. I know because I used to do this stuff myself when I was young, and I was grateful to be send to that kind of places and even get paid to do that stuff, and get medals too. Man, if you do this stuff home in America, you go to jail. Do it in Afghanistan and you get a medal.

Hey Pvt. Ryan.  I’m Canadian, but my brother and sister both live in California and married Americans and had kids.  We talk politics a lot, surprisingly no fights at family reunions.

Haha well considering were next door neighbors you’d think Canada and the US would be pretty close. Then again Mexico is a neighbor to. Personally I’d say America, Britain, and it’s former colonies are close as far as nations go. Trace all of our roots back as far as 250 years and it all comes back to the good Ol UK.

Razor, this isn’t a political debate. That being said, I am very aware that I pay his wage and I make sure my voice is heard politically. Nonetheless, soldiers by nature of the profession put their lives on the line, regardless of whether it is right or not. I have no desire to get shot, so I applaud soldiers for their service. Hopefully the taxpayers will have their voices heard for the soldiers sake.

I did a paper once on the Vietnam war, came across a qoute/quip.  A soldier returning from the war is confronted by a citizen who asks “Why did you go to war!”, the soldier replied “You sent me, why are you asking me why I went?”

Allow me to offer my word of Thanks to the armed service veterans who keep the rest of us safe.

OBL was killed about a month ago, and the Seal team got laptops and jump drives, etc… that should have been utilized for follow up operations.

I wonder if the follow up raids were

1  kept secret, or
2  maybe the trail has gone cold again.

Hardly, this forum had a political discussion, but they are hard to manage when threats start flying around. If he had won, that would have never been possible. Also, you can go to thousands of other forums which discuss that very thing freely and openly. This isn’t a world forum, it is a private forum, owned by David Jensen, who also solely pays for the bandwidth and site storage. This isn’t a country.
