Im looking for strategies that players may have or would be willing to post based on the WBC Victory Territories and time limit tournament winning conditions.
@vodot Yeah, definitely seems like the US would need some kind of economic boost if they have a split economy. I bet playing like this would be more historically accurate and more fun, especially with more than 2 players.
Forming 1942 Second Edition and 1942 Online research/testing group for strategy/tactics. Writeups to be published as guides in time. Games will be played on TripleA v5 and 1942 Online and TripleA v5 (Larry Harris Tournament Setup) without bids.
Applicants must be comfortable with discussion of mathematics and exact details and are expected to contribute meaningfully. This is not a group for casual players, nor is it a group for players that want to develop “secret” lines of play.
Ive seen it tried many times against me, but its a side show. you need a combination of events. You need to make a thousand cuts against an enemy and it will die quickly. Keep hitting France, Karelia, Italy, Benulux, Norway and you will win
Great post Black Elk. Here are my usual US buys for the first 3 rounds.
1st 3 bombers. Save 6
2nd 3 bombers, Transport, infantry
3rd 2 bombers, Transport, 2 infantry
4th turn on can change based on bomber losses, German plane buys, and what Japan is doing.
The point with this build is to merge allied fleets off sea zone 13 on turn 3.
I haven’t played Germany much but it seems to me buying a Aircraft Carrier at the 1st turn is also a good idea. This way I can land my fighters there and generate a threat to British or Africa (depending on where you place)
That’s how I always beat Germany, getting grunts on the the ground secure karelia acouple turns have to get immediate navy to bring grunts to karelia then u can defend with tons of grunts, fighters are money " because they defend at 4 …. with Uk, Usa, n Russia all them 4 's add up big time when the big rolls go down …then you have good attack capability don’t waste your tanks…good luck on your 2’s…(rolling defends).
