Here are my house rule suggestions for economic balance in Global…. it’s not much, but that’s the point.

#1. The $5 Russian National Objective for no axis ships in the Norwegian convoy zone #125, control of Archangel, and no allied units on originally owned Russian territories has now been modified and split into 2 different National Objectives for Russia.

Lend Lease
- $5 National Objective for no Axis ships in the Norwegian convoy zone #125, and for control of Archangel.
National Prestige
- $5 National Objective for at least 1 Russian warship on the board, and no Allied units on any originally owned Russian territories
#2. Two significant National Objectives that were dropped after Alpha +3 have now been reinstated.

Merchant Shipping Protected
#1. 5 IPCs for the United Kingdom if the Atlantic is free of German submarines.

Germany controls London
#2. 5 IPCs for Germany if they control London.

#3. When the United States declare war, they are automatically given the War Bonds technology for free.

Is this giving to much to the Allies?

Here is what you do. upload the AA rules of whatever version. then Chat Cpb or Genmini upload the rules and it will decide with brutal logic. The Battleship is priced correctly if its 20IPC and takes 2 hits and SB at 4. the only issue might be the Carrier could have different combat values, otherwise its good. Let AI solve your issue!

I just tried to addressed to the one of the main complaint about Japan’s power in Anniversary and claimed that having Japan with that power is not a must for maintaining balance but happy to see different income distirbutions with No’s or not.

Countries spaced apart good enough where no one has an advantage.

Would have to add some pieces to USA for this.

I know you are all history purists though but with the balance issue I keep hearing about I wondered if this has been tried just for fun.

Thanks SS. I re-read the report: minor clarification: It looks like I’m recommending that Britain can’t be attacked at all R1, but actually meant that Italy specifically needs to wait until R2 to attack (preventing the total annihilation of all UK forces from the mediterranean on R1). Also, I thought there was little the UK could do with these house rules to prevent a takeover if Italy was allowed to attack the UK in R1, but this was assuming Italy could set up their fleet and transports to attack England on R2 with Germany, but skilled Allied players could put naval ships in the path to block Italy from joining in on R2. With that, I think it’s appropriate to play that Italy can attack the UK on R1… especially since the Italian player only earns 10 IPC’s at start and with no National Objectives, it could be a slow climb to more income if Britain has a chance to maintain it’s fleet and holdings in Africa.

Make these changes:

Map:
SZ31: Create new SZ31 by splitting SZ17 in half at a point on border between SZ16 and SZ17 below Sicily and extending to point where Albania borders Greece.
Switzerland: Is impassable.

Setup:
Move any 1 GE SS from existing SZ to new SZ31.
Add 1 GE CA to SZ26.
Remove UK TR from SZ2.
Add 1 UK SS to SZ8.
Remove 1 OE CA from SZ20.
Add 1 OE TR to SZ20.
Remove 1 RU CA from SZ21.
Add 1 RU SS to SZ21.

Play:
Delayed Ottoman Entry:
Ottoman Empire or Bulgaria cannot be attacked unless the Ottomans first do one of the following; mobilize any additional units (including those for attacked neutrals), make any attacks, or allow CP units to enter any OE occupied territories. While OE is sitting out the war, their mines are not in play, and their naval forces are restricted to SZ19 and 20.
Notes: If other CP ships are attacked in a SZ with OE ships, OE can choose to enter the battle on defense - but must declare that intention before AP player decides to make their attack roll.
If OE enters Bulgaria, they can defer the mobilization until the build phase when OE enters the war. If OE does not defer, OE enters the war immediately.
Neutral Albania:
Albania starts game as a neutral. At start of turn 3, it becomes minor-aligned with Italy or France (AP choice).
Neutral Portugal:
Portugal is neutral, unless CP attacks Angola or PEA. If ANG or PEA attacked by CP, Portugal becomes minor-aligned FR or UK (AP choice). If ANG or PEA are occupied by AP, Portugal remains neutral.

A. add more inf to Russia.

B. add to the German navy in some areas.

Those are some thoughts I have right now.

I’ll probably do this. Give me about a week to try and mess with the default setup.

Maybe 4 or 6 more submarines should be good for Germany, with a Transport and Cruiser near Africa to provide more options for their stuff there. No starting US units save for 1 Infantry. Maybe.
