What kind of music does everyone listen to?
-
Country music is my personal favorite, but I also enjoy classic rock. How about everyone else? (also, did I miss any genres?)
-
Don’t listen that much. If I do, it’s based on whether I like it, not the genre(you could call me
an independent music voter, like independent voters who vote whoever they want, no matter the party). -
I’d say classic rock is easily my favorite genre. As you can tell from my avatar… I have only had Led Zeppelin avatars for my whole time on this forum. Whether or not that will change, I don’t know.
I like a lot of Classic rock bands, but I am particular. When I get into a band, I generally like a lot of their music as opposed to only a few songs.
As for pop, well, I am pretty picky here. For the most part I dislike most of today’s pop music. I LOVE John Mayer though… easily my favorite contemporary pop artist. Though he does a lot of Blues stuff too, which I LOVE even more.
I feel as though I am a child of the 80’s because I really love 80’s music too. Sadly, I was born 4 months too late for the 80’s.
I do like a bit of contemporary Alternative though. Again, I am particular, but there are some pretty good bands out there… especially Wolfmother. They basically sound like a classic rock band though.

We share the same taste.

I can listen to just about anything, but it takes very specific things for me to enjoy an artist fully or entire albums. I put classic rock, hip hop, and other - that being indie or music I can really say is one of those categories listed.
I don’t much exposure to music these days and a lot of my friends seem to be in the hipster/indie scene. Many musicians they get excited about I’ve never heard of, but then again I have a lot they aren’t familiar with either.
I also listen to a lot of the music I recorded years ago with friends. It’s not great, but I really enjoy it and it helps me relive the times.

Good. I’m always glad to find fellow country/rock fans.

Classic Rock/Hard Rock/Heavy Metal/Grunge/Punk Rock
-
Mostly darkambient, EBM and industrial (the factory noisy kind not the guitar rock thing that stole the term).
None of which is listed above :-D
-
I’ll add those ones right now
-
I listen to mostly The Smiths/Morrissey and The Cure. Sometimes I will listen to some Skinny Puppy, Danzig, Johnny Cash and a little Lucinda Williams. Depends on my mood.

That’s kind. I already had voted “other”, though (didn’t you you could and would edit that), so in mind, add 1 vote each there ;)
-
In that case just let people change there vote.
-
All of the above. :-D

How do you make it so people can change their votes?

I think when you edit a poll there might be something, but I’m not sure, I know you can when you create the poll though.
-
Hmmm, the edit options don’t let you change that. Well, future voters can vote for those choices

Oh well, now go destroy Carthage.

For the musically curious here, i’ll give a short introduction to my rather obscure musical tastes. Warning: i suck in describing :)
Darkambient.
It’s ambient. And it’s dark. Obviously. Think of it as soundtracks for imaginary creepy movies. Often long tracks (which i like) going over 10 minutes. Or 20 minutes, And some CD’s are one 70 minute track. Usually no beats or vocals. Some examples:
