impossible to portray Africa correctly in proportion to Europe. the board would have to be like 5 or 6 ft north to south

yes probably you are right…
and i did’t mean problems about game just an inaccuracy concerning the design of afrika.

they design it that way cause how much action is in central Africa anyway? its still represented it just looks like your on drugs. :-D

IMHO Africa is still too big. I’d rather have Europe blown up further.
Europe seems smaller than in the original AAEurope game ;)

My custom board I made at home HAD to be at least 4’ X 8’ to accurately represent the SHAPE of the globe. My new one will be 5’ X 10’ to make Europe easier to use with more territories. The only way to get the accurate “map” shape. I love it though - like having one of those planning maps they used in war rooms!

The main problem with Africa is in the south-west. The SWA tt is where western South Africa, including Cape Town, should be. SWA (now Namibia) is a mainly desert territory much further up the coast.
Other goofs:
The map places French Central Africa in French West Africa.
Sierra Leone is neutral.
FEA really should be split w/e otherwise this is an unrealistic backdoor into Egypt.
Worst of all, the Sinai peninsular is missing altogether giving Trans-Jordan the east bank of the Suez canal!

I love how ALBERTA/SASCATCHEWAN are on the east coast of canada next to the Hudsons bay… Yea cause that’s not 2000km out of plum.
