It appears you are my opposite IL (The Good Captain Kirk vs Bad Captain Kirk of Axis and Allies). I am convinced God maid Dr. Pepper for me, knowing I would arrive in 1973.
Although I worked 7 years for Pepsi, Coke does taste better. (Normally)
“Throwback” Pepsi is nice though. (Uses real sugar instead of corn syrup: currently available in the St. Louis Market for a limited time)

All right you realize in the 1980’s Coke changed their Coca Cola to taste more like Pepsi! So if this taste was so great why did they need to copy Pepsi! Too bad that flopped too much and they went back to the older original taste. Morons!

My favorite Cola is Coke, although I prefer all of Pepsi’s other soda flavors to Coke’s other flavors. The exception used to be Vault, however, its seems that in my area at least, Coke is replacing Vault with Mellow Yellow which is just Sprite with a different color, and it is very disheartening. Bring Vault back!
Also the best soda of all time is Mountain Dew Baja Blast, but sadly it is only available at Taco Bell, it should be canned dammit!
Also we should have a debate of what is the best vessel for Coke, Cans, Bottles, or fountains? I vote cans are the best way to enjoy any soda.

I try not to drink sodas/pop/cola much anymore, but between these two, I’ll choose Coke.
Pepsi doesn’t mix as well with Bourbon or Rum, and it tastes “artificially” sweet to me.
Of course I hate all the HFCS in sodas, so I either go for the throwback bottles/cans or Mexican Coke, which is still sweetened with cane sugar.

All soda will destroy your kidneys, plus cause you joint problems as constant caffeine bursts inhibit muscles getting proper nutrition/lubrication.
Also, over long periods there is a relationship between joint and bone deterioration and constant drinking of sodas. The worst one is mountain dew, while clear natural sodas ( those without Phosphates) are somewhat better.
Ice tea is the only decent drink, but it has caffeine too but it also has anti-oxidants.

Coffee is a necessity. Eventually everything is found to be bad for a person depending on the day of the week according to scientific studies. I just consume and don’t worry about what is or is not bad for me. I enjoy life and if eating or drinking something causes problems down the road, well, i just know that i enjoyed the road while i was on it. Life is too short to be worried about things like that.

Coffee is a necessity
Coffee is not nearly as bad as soda. Soda has phosphates and artificial additives. Coffee and Tea are much more natural and anti oxidants.
Soda is a killer and information has been suppressed by cola companies much like Cigarette companies.
