I thought Oz did a nice job on this based on the info that was given at the time. Its not exact (he knew that) but its not to far off either. I liked the fact that he was open to other peoples thoughts and made changes along the way. That’s when this forum (and Larry’s) is at its best.

Pacific 40 was 90% the same as the original pacific game
Europe would follow the same trend, with the addition of some sensible territories. More distance from US to UK, more expansive russia, Italy added, North Africa more territories.

Well in the actual map it looks like the Sahara goes all the way to the Atlantic, forcing the US to land in the Mediterranean through Gibraltar, or South in the Congo or South Africa.

True, by the time the game gets going into full swing……France might only have a handful of infantry in africa and its boats, who are slaved to the US/UK mega fleet

As long as they are their own full power, the French can very well be counted. And no, they will not be used as British pieces according to Krieghund.

Germany and Italy
UK, China, and France
Japan
US and ANZAC

I agree. I thik the ideal 5 player game would be:

Uk, ANZAC, and France

The reason I did that, was because ANZAC is close to the US in the Pacific, and India and China are close in Asia, so it could just help plan everything together, that why I did that.
