The map components and counters portion of Tide of Iron are pretty cool. I did not care for the gameplay or having to take figs out of bases. Something about the scale of the game is all wrong, just like the land based A&A minis. But the modular gameboards are top notch in that set.

I work full time and still can’t afford to get that many copies. 1 copy of a game is enough.

The only game that I would consider having 2 copies of is AA42 only if IL’s big map was being used. I don’t mind playing on the OOB map so right now 1 copy is enough.

I think he also sells some of his games at profit, or at least holds them till he can. He probably buys 6 and sells 3 after a while.
I bought 3 copies of Axis and Allies Pacific 1940 for about $51 a piece, as well. I haven’t even opened them because I can play the game at my Axis and Allies club. I could sell now, or hold out for it to go out of print. I’m holding. If it doesn’t go out of print, and it goes into mass production and drops to $50, that’s okay. I can either break even or get stuck with 3 copies of a game I like anyway.

I don’t sell any of my games…. with the exception of 5 copies of AA50. I have a storage room full of games ( looks like a stockroom). And yes i do well enough.
