I went when I was really young. I think I mainly visited resorts and amusement parks.

To put it much shorter terms, “FDR was prepared to take whatever steps necessary to make America do the right thing in a tumultuous time period”, or at least that’s what I took away from all that.

If your son had been killed at Pearl Harbor, would that be a satisfactory explanation?

Yes.

I didn’t mean your son, the question was more for those who love there children.

I sat down with my sons and we discussed Pearl Harbor. Had a great discussion for a 8 and 10 year old.

They are lucky to have you as their dad, Worsham. History is so important and they will always have something to learn from you.
Cromwell: wanted to comment, but feel Pearl is something that belongs to you Americans and do not want to sound disrespectful.
Also, as I have told Worsham, the Pacific is not my subject. (Would have posted on the 7th otherwise.)
I do strongly believe in remembering and commemorating past events. -
I have been known to celebrate at a Japanese restaurant, followed by watching Tora, Tora, Tora. Then again, we flew as special guests to Hawaii in 2005 for the surrender on board the Missouri. Met the Pacific commander, state senator, and governor. We got an incredible treatment and jets flew over us near the end of the presentation.

Top 10 for sure, probably like 5th-6th.
Polynesian food is one of my favorites, remember many times frequenting Don the Beachcomber restaurant ( used to be down the street on PCH- Malibu as well as Marina Del Rey).
Love the Bamboo interiors, great and charming experience.

In my opinion Pearl Harbour can go as back as Perry’s Kuroi Fune
