The US is amphibious assaulting Korea and can the planes in japan scramble to kill the transports in the seazone. The are no jap ships in the sea zone.
The scrambling fighters will defend the seazone, not the territory.
this may have already been addressed. if so, my apologies.
scenario:
no boats in japan sz. lots of ftrs and tacs in jap for scrambling purposes.
US moves large fleet into japan sz. jap does not scramble.
on AZ turn, 1tra w/2inf moves into jap water to land in KOR.
question:
if jap scramble ftrs on AZ combat move, do the US boats defend with the AZ transport?
No, US units do not attack with the ANZAC transport. It’s not their turn.
so the scrambling ftrs only “attack” the boats that are making the combat move?
The scrambling fighters only defend against the units that are attacking.
good to know. thanks kreig.
You’re welcome.
