@thrasher1 Our group plays China at War, Turkey at War, Fighting Railways, and Diplomacy. We have played others, but those 4 are our favorites. Diplomacy is starting to wear out it’s welcome a bit, as far as I’m concerned. It adds a lot of fun to the game, but it heavily favors the Allies. Some games it can really swing things.

Based on the German Minor Set 1 tank destroyers stats are A-D-M-C 5-5-2-5 with target selection: 1-2 (armor class units). Does this seem a bit OP given medium tanks are A-D-M-C 6-5-2-6 w/ blitz ability.

Btw how many of you use the tank destroyer unit for all nations in your games?

This target selection is based on an over-amplified bias toward tactical combat scale.
At strategic level, a given division has to fight other units which are in a given TTy and cannot pick according to its taste.

And compared to a Tank, a 5 IPCs targeting unit with one small offense pip (on a 12-sides dice) less is clearly better.
Fortunately, blitz is for Tank.

You may think about lowering some combat values but add a combined factor with Tank, Mech Inf or even Self-Propelled Artillery.

Personally I have created my own little diplomatic rule set, allowing for the ability to influence nearly every nation into any faction. Basically no factions exist and must be formed. With a predisposition via events of following historical paths.

Very interesting! Curious if you want to share this.

My current dream is to design and print my own map that would somehow make the impossible possible. A larger, scaled in version of Europe, where as keeping Africa, South America and all else on the map and not in inset boxes.

Excellent Idea hope this works for you. Ideas like this are what got me hooked to this game type. So much imagination and creative action on this site keep at it.

Since the Commonwealth shares all technology, they would all roll for their bond “Drive” in the collect income phase. ANZAC, FEC, Canada, UK, even South Africa if played seperately would all roll for each “nation’s” bond value. If UK springs for advanced radar, they all have advanced radar. SAme with improved shipyards or advanced infantry tactics. It is all shared.

There’s a few things that HBG has available that aren’t explained well, if at all. ï¿½ï¿½Â All of the resource tokens, certain types of fortifications (like the Fort Drum one), P.O.W. camps and a few other things seem to fall into that category. ï¿½ï¿½Â There is a section on the site that has rules laid out for some of the stuff, but it seems to be outdated at this point.ï¿½ï¿½Â Maybe an update is in order?

I’ve asked them to update the rules to the markers and fortifications many times, but I’ve never got a response. I assuming they just don’t have time since they are producing so much as of a late. That is just my theory. I hope they can update it at some point.

We are updating the special marker rules and it will be ongoing. Look for it in a couple weeks.

I appreciate it. It will help a lot. :-)
