@Curtmungus your honor of being more famous than me is quite deserved. I salute you.
What is liberty?

Madam Moses,
Why do you call everyone sir? You are much more polite than your brother (is he in college?)
-
@TM:
I would someday like to travel everywhere too, Sir Horten. Although the only place my brother likes better than California is the South, where he can dress up and reenact Civil War Battles.
PS: Liberty is being able talk to such nice people online without being booted by your brother. :wink:
Yep, us Westerns gotta stick together and prepare for the 2nd War of Succession. :wink: Oh yeah, and if it were my way, liberty would be if you wouldn’t be on this computer at all! Freedom of thought, not freedom of speech! :P

“It is dangerous to be sincere unless you are also stupid.”

Shaw was a hack. There, I said it! :o

disagreed. was he socially relevent? Maybe. Brilliant, possibly. Entertaining, definitely. A hack, hardly.
i, on the other hand, am quite “hackish” this beautiful sunny day.

Being an ex-sailor, it’s limited time off from the ship. It’s a priviledge that can be taken away due to improper behavior. It’s like working during the day, going home, coming back to work the next day. Your off time is liberty. In contrast is “leave”, which is several days to weeks or a month away from the ship…

Shaw was an interesting character. I like how Shaw and Marx held different views on the socialism, revolution, and the Fabian Society

Liberty is essentially something that no one can take away from someone else…
Freedom is equal opportunity given by a superior to a inferior…
