The privacy commissioner is asking a judge to order the RCMP to remove their video surveillance cameras from streets. - CBC

thot about turning this into a poll. How do people feel about video cameras operated by the police (Mounties, FBI/NSA, etc.) in public places?
A related question is that if you are in public it is possible you are being watched anyway, so what difference is there if a camera does it?
Are privacy questions valid, or are they merely invoking the slippery slope fallacy?

Well, it would help reduce and solve crime, but is it worth the cost of our freedoms? I don’t know as I have no ideas what the provisions are (no cameras in public restrooms, okay?).

streets are public property, and if certain areas have a lot of crimes, cameras don’t hurt.

Just don’t have cameras in the house.
