Quick answer is that bids seem to keep going up with bids over 20 now common.
yes
just the dollar amount.
Has anyone heard anything “OFFICIAL” about rules for combining these two games? Has Hasbro/Avalon Hill said anything? When I go to the AH site, it still says to look for A&A Pacific soon.
cheers
i think Hasbro/ Avalon Hill has stop making
wargames
I think there were plans to produce a set of joining rules, however now that Wizzards of the Coast has taken over A/H who knows?
Well, Avalon hill is working on it. The problem is now they are owned by Hasbro, as you all already know. Avalon hill games dont sell as much as lets say, Monopoly, or Scrabble. Selling 100,000 Axis and allies games a year may seem like a lot, but its nothing compared to the 1,500,000 games of Monopoly they sold. So, Hasbro doesn’t fund Avalon hill as much.
I played a couple of joint games without special rules. At first we discussed any change, for example joint victory points but because we just couldn’t predict what would happen we just started playing. The only problem was it took such an enormous log time to play, but we hust let America spend 115 IPC’s And choose where to deploy it or to split it. We have only played one game so far so I can not say how these things will go and if their balanced but we sure had a great time.
If anybody else has any good ideas about this sort of thing just let me know.

Also have any of you guys heard of the new board game Napoleon in Europe? I think it’s coming out in April and it’s shaping up to be one heck of a game. I think that Hasbro/Avon Hill can leard a thing or two on Eagle Games battle system.
Eagle games make tight board gamess. I have the Civil War game its great fun. It adds a different element to the war game genre.
