    i did the same thing in another game – figured that because russia had declared war, it was safe to attack adjacent to mongolia – woops ;-)

    I made the same mistake in another game (that I wound up losing). The state of relations (war/peace) between Russia and Japan has no impact on whether Mongolia joins Russia if Japan attacks a Mongolia-adjacent territory, unless Russia has already attacked a Mongolia-adjacent territory, or Korea.

    Happy to rematch, with the same bid if that works for you. Spin up a game. Please post the result for this one, if you’re content that it is finished.

    Losing France was really unhelpful. Never experienced it before, but I imagine a tough thing to recover from. Germany needs those PUs.

    In BM, Russia does get some extra PUs if Japan doesn’t place a naval unit in the SZ adjacent to Far East (iirc).

    I think that you had your J navy in a disadvantageous position…you want to threaten the USA. Also, you probably want to have more of a presence down by FIC and the DEIs. The DEIs matter a lot for Japan’s income. Most folks establish FIC; China cannot attack there, and it can be a critical hinge for what Japan wants/needs to do.

    I will post the result.

    For our rematch, swap the (bid) sub from 98 to 91, otherwise the same.
