@VictoryFirst I can reproduce the issue with current and legacy versions of TripleA.
So I am quite sure that it is related to recent changes to the website/forum.
Let us ping @djensen for further insights.
I think we’re back in business.
Chinese bots hammering the site again.
@djensen These fricking bots, man!
Lately, it’s been a non-bad actor crawling the site: Apple. I set up some rules to slow it down.
@djensen „non-bad“ and „apple“ cannot be put together in a sentence in a syntactically sound way! 😉
hmm … maybe apple and china teamed up or well I guess they did a long time ago lol
Well, was able to finally get on the site. I use 8-10 sites a day and this is the only one that has this problem.
And it has it consistently
:)
Applebot strikes again. I’m rate limiting them more.
@djensen do you know it’s purpose?
@Elrood Applebot? They’re probably training a foundation AI model. Officially it’s for Siri and Safari.
@djensen oh… “great” :-/
@djensen today site was unreachable starting 11am (New york Time) and at least for 2 hours … at least for me here in Europe.
If its really apple for some AI stuff… i imagine something like this:
“Siri, what happened to Japan in World War 2?”
AI bot searching the Interwebs
“According to numerous reports on A&A.org, the sea zone around Japan was under constant allied pressure but usually Japan just held out and let Germany win the war for them.”
could it be that the new “no bot” browser validation blocks TripleA’s Access to the forum as well?
