G40 Atomic Bomb Expansion

Since Early 2004 we have gradually developed an Expansion Rule for the Atomic Bomb unit.
Since Late 2021 we have play tested several options for Global 1940 - and we are now entering the final stages of play testing.
We expect to release the Atomic Bomb rule no later than 21st April 2026.

@The-Captain Sounds interesting! Never really made sense why they dropped Atomic Bombers after Nova. I can understand during the 80s (cold war), but we’re mostly past that now. I’m curious to see your take on this weapon of mass destruction!

Sweet I adapated Derkuenzler’s, spelled wrong :) years ago for triplea. Should be able to do the same with yours. Can always handroll and edit the results if needed.
I doubt it will get used that much. Probably a one and done or maybe the yanks and the reich start launching them at each other lol
Hopefully we can drop one on moscow :)

We can reveal some of the concepts in the Atomic Bomb unit rules:
- Germany can develope Atomic Bomb units
- United States & United Kingdom can both contribute to the developement of Atomic Bomb units
- Both sides must each pay a specific number of IPC to a Research & Development Facility during the Purchase & Repair Units phase for several rounds
- An Atomic Bomb Production Level Marker indicates how far the developement has come
- The Atomic Bomb Production Capacity is only reached after multiple rounds of payment.
- The rules include Transportation of Atomic Bomb units
- The rules include Attacking with Atomic Bomb units

The Atomic Bomb Expansion Rule is originally designed for a longer game.
Still, the Atomic Bomb Expansion Rule is compatible with the winning conditions described at pg. 11 in the rulebook.
Most G40 HRE games maximum last until Early 1945 by which time one side would achieve an Economic Victory - or the other side would surrender.
With the developement of the Atomic Bomb Expansion Rule we are simultaneously working on a new Winning Condition: Total Victory.
The Total Victory condition eliminates all other victory conditions.

We expect to be able to release the Atomic Bomb Expansion within a few weeks from now.
The Atomic Bomb Expansion is also designed for use with the Total Victory Expansion.

Finished reading the rules. I think they’re well-balanced and give nations a lot of new options, both for those who do have atomic bombes and those who don’t.
