As of 2026 there are 19 spin-off games in the A&A franchise. You only investigated 5 of them. Also we are aware of the imbalance and bugs, and that is why we have bidding. No games are strictly balanced, not even Chess. If you start with white pieces in Chess you got the advantage. If you go first in Monopoly you got an advantage. Your study is not wrong, I appreciated it, and would like to see you do all the 19 spin-offs. You shold also look into the Tournament Rules, like LHTR, etc, and joined with bidding the games get fairly balanced, That said, the casual A&A player, like the casual Chess player, don’t play competitive. 99% of the A&A Community love to fool around with the plastic pieces and don’t mind any imbalances. We play for fun. Now keep that in mind.
@Narvik your comment confuses me. I agree with almost everything you say. I feel you missed the point of the video or at least read more into it than was there. I compared the five versions that I’ve mastered against each other and stated I would use it as a tool on all future series. That is pretty much it. I feel you are implying I said things I did not.
I categorically disagree with you that 99% of the community doesn’t mind imbalances. If they didn’t, there would be no need for bidding.
I think Narvik got confused by the title “Every version of Axis and Allies is Imbalanced” which might be indeed a little misleading. Narvik attacked this point which I fully understand as that is not what you can say after just examining 5 versions. The current title also has a slight negative undertone. A better title could be “Imbalance in Axis and Allies”.
