L26 OOB TinCanoftheSea (X) vs Booper (L+44)

  • @Booper Looking at the board, I feel it is somewhat early, but due to multiple errors in my play early on, I don’t see any path to victory for the Axis. Barbarossa is essentially over, as I cannot push you back, let alone hold the line. I did the calculations, and I will not be able to punch through the Middle East, which was my last resort to pummel the Allies, thinking I could then hold onto India as well. In the Pacific, my errors with not protecting my transports early hurt my ability to reinforce the South Pacific, and now what is left of my Navy will mostly be taken out this next turn, meaning Japan is left with no ability to transport troops, and there is a stalemate in China. I can’t win the game with just Italy, haha. What do you think?

  • @TinCanoftheSea

Yes, I do think the Allies are in a decent position to delay the Axis. Allies generally play for time, and the income advantage. Axis moves fast, or goes for income (or both).

Things could change with a significant battle, but Japan is going to be hard-pressed having lost 10 or so planes at this point, and not having a significant income. Losing those 2 transports early has snowballed into Japan not being able to hold FIC and Malaya, which makes the land battle extremely challenging. Germany is still OK, but it will be a grind, but possibly doable. Losing Norway does make it tougher, and of course Italy is probably the strongest of be ever seen.

Anyways, happy to continue though an uphill battle for the Axis for sure. Or if you want to swap sides, or re-match same sides, or just bid for it again, or take a break - could do that.
