@axis-dominion Thanks! @Adam514 is a deservedly tough opponent. Despite being at income parity or even Axis-advantage for most of the game I felt like I was on the ropes the whole time!

well. i understand why he basically gave up by taking up the low odds battle against the germans there, but i think that was premature since he still had a decent shot at killing your navy with the RAF:
and before even that, he could’ve tried to bomb that italian air base with his two US tacs (i know odds are slim there with the 4 intereceptors + aa fire, but still worth a try and better than just quitting). IF he was successful in disabling that air base, then his odds would shoot way up to like 97%!

sorry, those US tacs would not have a landing spot after the bombing, so nix that. but hey they could’ve crashed into your fleet and maybe got a hit, or two, increasing odds for the RAF strike? regardless, it would’ve been worth a shot to do that attack before quitting.

I did contingent my plan with extra planes on n Spain to scramble so I could take Italian tacs if US suicided those two planes, so would not have affected UKs odds (which admittedly were better than I liked, probably should have sacrificed my Bb&Cv off Africa entirely to reduce his odds)
Adam deserves some extra credit as well for good sportsmanship I’d like to highlight. I posted scramble options but hadn’t rolled dice. In the morning I realized I could have organized my attack slightly differently so I could try and escape some Italian transports he had cleverly trapped. He allowed me to edit the move and repost scrambles. As initially posted, he would likely have wiped 7 Italian transports. I think that loss would have been hard for me to recover

@Stucifer yeah true you could buffer against the US air suiciding. But still the odds of the RAF strike are noteworthy and I personally would’ve been uncomfortable taking that risk unless I felt was only option to win, but hey it worked out for you since decided to not even pursue it!

To clarify, I meant if I was Germany, I’d be uncomfortable with those odds
