  • sorry for the slowness, I was just finally getting to doing the turn, then as I’m about to finish up I realize I left Japan sz unguarded, so I’m trying to figure out how to adjust things; it’s awkward to edit after a battle, even if sz 35 is pretty overwhelmed if some stuff is less behind.

    @zlefin no problem as I’ve been busy too. If you are realizing after dice have been rolled that you should have left units back in 6 I don’t mind a redo on the specific combat in 35 to allow the adjustment.

    @zlefin because I can’t see yet the game is not clear to me. But if you took more than you needed and your hits were overwhelming then maybe just withdraw what you want to withdraw. Otherwise we can reroll with in game dice for the units that are actually involved

  • ok, I edited the current end state to how it’s meant to look; and we can figure out the rerolling the battle part. I’ve never used the ingame dice roller feature;
    so after adjustment, the battle outside phillipines should’ve had 2 less dds, one less fighter, one less carrier; compared to how it is in the save. it looks like it’d still be better to not scramble than to scramble, though if you want to we can roll that way as well; I’ll try to manual roll the combat now. In the unit order as shown on the battle calc screen, so the attackers are 2 bbs, 1 ca, 1 dd, 2 sub, 1 carrier


  • If I did the manual rolling wrong, then by all means redo it. I gotta be more careful instead of trying to rush a turn when I felt like I took too long. I’m kinda used to live play with fairly free editing, so perhaps I’ve grown too slack.

Normally one doesn’t allow these kinds of changes after dice have been rolled, but it wouldn’t have impacted the battle (your subs got the hits) and I appreciate you are new to league play. And I wouldn’t have scrambled given that htere were 2 battleships to soak to the hits.

    @zlefin I’m relatively relaxed around edits although you may find other players more strict (and the rules do give them the right to be so). The main thing we want to avoid is edits that result from having seen the dice rolls rather than errors. Hence less potential issues arise from edits of ncms or placement after the dice have been rolled. But this was clearly a situation where the dice couldn’t have been a factor.

    But definitely don’t rush your game on my account. The rules give everyone 3 days to post normally. When I can be, I’m more eager to play when I can be, but I can wait.
