  • i started following this game with interest very recently, and i think it deserves a real and unnecessarily rushed conclusion. it’s exciting to see a new contender emerge in the small and shrinking competitive circles, so let’s not stifle that in any way. i think farmboy should be allowed entry into the playoffs given his status as the current champ and that he’s been faithful in trying to meet the minimum game requirement even though that is no longer reasonable given the drastic drop in bm popularity for various reasons (another topic) and i’m confident there will be zero objection from the rest of the league on that slight bending of the rule.


  • @axis-dominion Thanks AD. I’ll be in no matter what. Agree this game is a good one, but I’m okay if it has to end now to get in the playoffs. I’ll let gamerman decide on this, but think it is fair whatever he decides.

    And even if the game ends for league purposes now, Surfer and I have the option of playing it out to see what would happen. .

    And @surfer, I missed a sentence in my last message. I was just saying if you weren’t ready to concede (which I think is reasonable) I cna do it as I’m the one that needs the game for the playoffs.

    Not generally, though I think it’s been done before
    I’d have to make an exception - case by case basis - there are circumstances where I think it would be acceptable but generally someone needs to resign it, or just accept that they can’t qualify this year

    As to those circumstances - it matters if we’re talking about you and the BM playoffs…
    We could even make an exception to where the game doesn’t have to be called at all, win, lose, or draw, if you’re really needed in the BM playoffs, if everyone wants you, and you’re already at 5

    But you are such an important presence for that playoff, that if no one is opposed then we would bend the rules

    Case by case basis, I don’t like to make exceptions but this is an exception all things considered. Surfer qualified anyway, exception will be made to include farmboy,
