No you can only place Mines in Moscow. Same with all the special units. Commisar, Grd Inf etc … Can only place regular dudes Tanks, Inf, Arty … in unattacked TTys.

@barnee Thanks…I was hoping for some mines right there. I guess I can place them in Moscow and use my rail movements. So just like before I could place more infantry or other “OOB” units only.
Do you know where I can find the rules for naval mines? I’m not seeing them in the main HRE rule book I’ve printed and I’m thinking about using them more.
In that line of thought - carrier planes:
1 - If I already have 8 on the board, can I produce some at the start of my turn assuming that I will take losses and still be withing the cap of 8 at the end of my turn?
2 - Is therre a good way/tricks to move them from the west coast to the mid /west pacific besides a road/trail of carriers? -

Not that I know of. CVs can move just as far with a Harbor.
No you can only have 8 total of the N Ftrs. And your 2 free count towards the total, so if you already have 8 when the free ones deploy, you don’t get them.
Should name some Junior High Schools after those PHI AA Gunners :)

You have 3 Marines attacking and only 2 Artillery to support them. So one of the Marines needs to be a “MarineA1” or he will attack at 2 instead of 1.

Easiest way to do it, is to undo all the dudes that landed in Carolines, then add the MarineA1, then land the rest of the guys except one Marine. You can remove him after battle.
It’s a little involved removing dudes on Transports because you gotta remove the dude and the Transport and if there’s more than one Trrnsprt you usually have to remove them all and then edit them back in.
It would have been easier if the Marines just attacked at 2 by themselves and boost to 3 with the Arty, but that’s not how the Captain rolls :)
They are limited in number so can’t be endlessly spammed and the Arty by itself is still a superior buy as well as Armored Inf but thems the rules :)
