    @farmboy Well, it worked out for you. It was a close run thing. I had eliminated your fleet and had many subs left. I was going to retreat, but your final hit round with your fighters was 9 of 10 hits! Enough to take down my entire air force!

    Something I’ve never considered, but shouldn’t a “stalemate” condition result in the attacker having an option of retreating? There are defending units alive in the region…

    Definitely you would have had an option of retreating. But I guess you can’t retreat only a portion of your force. If you could withdraw just surface fleet and air, your subs could have dealt with the rest of my fleet.

    And I was lucky with that last roll, but I still wonder if I made the right choice with the destroyers. It was a gamble and a bit impulsive, and I wanted to see how it played out. I think it worked in that you have 5 subs left that would other wise have been casualties before your air which might have changed the final outcome, but then you got some free hits with them too.
