@Private-Panic I’ll choose OOL and submerge decisions for any Anzac counter…
-
@captainwalker well done on capturing Canberra. . We Forgot to tell Adan that a SS can carry one INf. He didn’t realise and I didn’t check afrer he moved . I have been too busy and Seb has been preoccupied beating up on Germany and Italy.
-
@Witt I’m hoping that evens things out in the Pac a bit…
-
@captainwalker feels worse than just „a bit“ 😱
-
@Witt @ Elrood Apologies for losing Canberra. What twerp decided that subs should be able to carry infantry?! Makes me worry whether my limited time allows me to spot such unexpected contingencies in this game.
-
I even sent you a direct text about it as a warning, 2 weeks ago:
„Only his super sub can reach. Ah yes did you have a look at the available buffed units now in turn 4? Under Help / Game Notes you find a table. Super Subs are nasty… move 3 and can transport an inf“
-
@Elrood are you saying that I actually need to read your texts?
-
@Private-Panic you even replied to it!! 😛
-
Not only reading but also memorizing would be splendid
-
@Elrood I forgot the inf bit! But this has reminded me why I dropped out of WaW ages back after a couple of tries.
-
@Private-Panic historical inaccuracy? Like Witt is also arguing about? 😀
-
@Elrood Just too many unusual / unexpected factors waiting to bite you in the butt.
-
@Private-Panic it is way more complex than G40… which is a boardgane after all. WaW would be a disaster as board game…
But it also rewards long term planning better than G40 in my humble opinion. G40 is much more volatile and prone to bad battle dice rolls.
-
@Private-Panic it can’t be helped.
Was my fault for not checking , after your Dutch go.
I wasn’t happy that Thai had slipped that Dd through the Strsits, but didn’t put one and one together and make -36. -
@Private-Panic it is historically accurate…from google-
Japanese Submarines in WWII
The Japanese Navy’s submarine capabilities were indeed advanced for their time, with the Type-3 Maru Yu being a notable example of a dedicated transport submarine. These submarines were designed to carry troops and supplies, making them a valuable asset in amphibious operations. -
@captainwalker they could have e carried 30-50 Marines / soldiers . Hardly enough to capture a capital city or make an impact on a territory in a game this large though, Steve.
-
@Witt well Canberra was empty! 😀😀
-
@Elrood damn right…the captain told them “once we breach the bunkers boys the city is ours…harrrr”
-
@captainwalker and now they are pirates!
