COMMAS SAVE LIVES.
Can-openers between Italy and Germany are actually pretty useless anyway.
ANZAC and France are literally the only powers that go between Germany and Italy. What point is there in can-opening for the bigger Allies if Germany can easily fill it next turn?
Unless ANZAC is blowing holes for France (an incredibly difficult and unlikely move to pull off), can-opening after Italy and before Germany doesn’t really do much.
@SuperbattleshipYamato france has almost no offensive power and no naval projection. But for anzac to have offensive power they should transport the arti to europe which means they can only reach gibraltar on Turn which is too late to make a difference.
My conclusion is that it might be a fun game to do that but not the most efficient use. Same with giving persia to anzac which might be even better than the Brasil move.
If I am playing Japan, I am happy if ANZAC is doing anything other than building submarines, transports, and infantry.
The frustration is that even with all of the Anzac resources pouring to the PTO you don’t see it for a long time. You don’t see the progress, especially if your fleets are just move counter move with no ground gains and the other problem is you don’t have offensive momentum Until like round five
@Cornwallis I like the Persia idea but that would cancel a British factory there. The only time France has power is either the endgame where the Allies don’t need there help or in a 1939 setup or something.
@FranceNeedsMorePower Or France Goes First
@crockett36 And that as well :)
@crockett36 The only thing is I wish they did not have the ability to crush Northern Italy. Maybe Italy does no declare war with the Allies till Pairs falls?
Why not? Because it makes Italy too underpowered?
Frankly unless they’re destroying Northern Italy the French get very little to do.
@SuperbattleshipYamato Yes that’s why I feel that way.

yea they probably sacrifice the UK Ftr to do it. Maybe not.
Killing the Fctry to a Minor shouldn’t be too big a deal. Italy isn’t gonna be pumping out more than 6 a turn usually.
@barnee I just mean all that material is lost. Italy is weak already, well that was historical though.
Again though, what can France really do other than hitting Italy? All they can really do is delay the inevitable. It’s basically impossible for them to build a transport to evacuate their troops as the Luftwaffe can reach anywhere they build.
@SuperbattleshipYamato If we give them a transport to start maybe they can hold onto French North Africa with 4 guys, 1 cannon, and 2 fighters. Plus the ships can attack areas later in the game. France can’t really do anything in any A&A game except in Charles 1939. I guess I’m not understanding your point or are you just making a statement.
My point is that having France go first but not letting them attack Italy is pointless because they won’t be able to do anything otherwise except maybe buy 3 submarines or 6 infantry (not insignificant extra units).
@SuperbattleshipYamato I personally don’t think they should go first as well.
@SuperbattleshipYamato It’s a fun change but not something I would make standard.
@FranceNeedsMorePower yes that is something that i would very much like, a french transport. Around West Africa for exemple.
@Cornwallis Yes
