Don’t give up. Take a break if need be. It can be frustrating.
Probably best just to start with downloading triplea from the begininng.
Explain step by step what you’re doing and where you get stuck.
We’ll get it sorted :)

You need to be exact, as there are multiple 2.7 prereleases.

2.7 is designed to have saves work with other 2.7 releases and 2.6 as well. Since it is a prerelease that may not always be the case.
As you have had issues, as Panther suggested, you should both be on the same release so you can eliminate that as the problem.

No, you don’t have to wait.
Just download from https://github.com/triplea-game/triplea/releasesDon't always trust TripleA when it comes to rules questions. Know the rules before you start … and better check what TripleA has done.
