@Mr_CrOwLeY_80 US Commanders’ abilities cannot be used for China. Per page 10 of the Anniversary Rulebook, “China and its units are controlled by the U.S. player, but for game purposes it is considered a separate power and its resources cannot be mixed.” On the positive side, that leaves you free to choose Chines Commanders for use with China.
Advice for a newb?!

I haven’t played this version yet and I’ve been invited to play sat. I have played AA42 and AAP40. We plan on drawing countries randomly. Any advice for the new guy?

If you’ve played 42 and P40, you’re pretty well versed in how the game goes. AA50 is a slightly beefed up version of 42.
Not knowing what you’re playing makes it much more difficult to offer any concrete advice though. At least nothing beyond ‘read up’ and ‘have fun’! :)
