I noticed that there never has been a topic about the Spring 1942 rulebook download.
So find it here.

Axis: Defensive Germany and Offensive Japan….ALWAYS…never deter from strat.
Allies: Really depends on how froggy I feel…If I think I can pull it off, I go KJF…The best part about it is watching Japan going into freak mode…but if I’m playing with multiple people and don’t have a warm fuzzy that England can distract Germany enough, I have to go full on KGF…I think with the Allies I always have an option…There are times though when I’m the US and I have this odd feeling to stab Russia in the back…

A few tenets I have:
- Hit hard. If there’s 4 enemy units and you can mass 12 units against it and destroy it on one round of combat the better.
- Take advantage of opportunities created by unexpected results on the enemy’s turn.
- Be prepared to take advantage of those opportunities - move/place units in forward positions that allow them to reach multiple spaces and hit multiple targets.
- Before playing a country, think how your moves (and the enemy reaction to them) can be used by your allies.
- As Russia/Germany - pressure the other country from the start.
- Only take risks (odds below 2/3) if you can afford to lose the unit(s).
- If the other player likes to be overly aggressive/risky, don’t be intimidated and keep your strategy - either the dice will eventually get to him and/or he’ll make mistakes.
- The Allied game plan is determined on the UK1/US1 rounds. The Axis game plan is set by Germany.

Here’s another that resumes the Eastern front to me: Germany gets shy, Russia gets kinky :D

Axis
I think he wants to know how you play and not who you play as.

With the axis, build the Luftwaffe to heights unimaginable, a slow and steady 1 plane per turn. Build inf/art combos, take Egypt quickly and creep thru it. With Japan, dominate the pacific, and meanwhile pick one of the 3 ways (usually India) to Russia and if Russia is about to fall and I’ve gone thru India, assist in Africa if there’s issues there.
-
Too much artillery means the Germans will lack mobility and lack the ability to project threat further that a stack of tanks provides. I like air with Germany but be careful you don’t make yourself too weak on the ground versus Russia.

Axis:
–Germany takes Egypt, knocks out much of the GB fleet
–Japan takes out Hawaiian and Indian fleets and pushes through India, China, or Russia (usually 2 or all three, depending on circumstances of the game)Allies:
–Russia tries to survive
–GB tries to hold on to Africa while being a pain in the butt to the Germans
–US- I’ve tried massing subs in the Pacific to immobilize Japan and bombing the crap out of the Germans. Those two strategies have tended to work well for me
