    I am at my parents’.
    I assume I have no landing space for my planes , as I didn’t take Iwo Jima .
    Am happy to let you choose .
    I suppose I have to lose a CV and 2 Tacs , after all the DDs are gone . Then another CV and 2 Fts etc. can’t have mo landing spot for the Air.

    As I said , I forgot to move the TT to Iwo’s SZ last go . Too much going on at home (and work).

    I thought so too. The # was just under 40% but it should have switched to my favor after round 1. I had 7 carriers to soak while you were losing defensive units and planes. But that’s how it goes sometimes.


  • Germany seemed fine in the last game. I think in order for Japan to last in a longer game vs Gencon I’d have to modify the strategy and build an IC vs transports and forego trying for Hawaii.

    Japan worried me the most in the first three games though. Buying as you did on J1 and going for Hawaii , so I could not advance against you , worried me and caused me to go all Subs .
    Perhaps , if you did that and went all out for Moscow, one side would win , as the US can’t invest on both maps .

    As Germany, I think you left too many units in the West in that last game . They would have been better utilised vs Russia .
    I barely held Bryansk and was sure you would have had Moscow, but it didn’t happen.

    So i have to leave troops in the west for Gencon purposes. The Gencon games go 6-7 rounds and the Axis must either take India/Hawaii VC or have 125 ipc at the end of the game. I needed the troops to “take” Spain and Portugal, as well as sweeden and perhaps turkey, for the IPC if necessary (and it would have been because I couldn’t reach 125 without them). In our game I was going to overwhelm Bryansk in a few rounds as I could add 9 directly into lenningrad. The next turn i was adding 13 or 14 to my stack. The problem was I would need my planes to attack and that would place the med fleet at issue.

    I don’t think I can take Hawaii from you anymore as you have defended it well now. I’d have to buy an ic and be content with trading it.

    I can try the IC idea if you are willing to play one more.
