SZ33 Battle: You did not ask for OOL even though there was an attacking SS and a defending DD. Common policy is to ask if you want the lose the DD or the CA. You automatically took the DD which is not what I would have done.
Since on Round 2 the attackers had two hits it would not effect the Japanese losses any. All three units would still be dead. However, with a DD and hit BA available on Round 2 versus a CA and hit BA the DD would have fired back whereas the CA was unable to do that due to the SS hit.
I propose we roll in the Forum a single dice @2 to represent the DD firing and see if it hits. If it does the US loses another fighter. A miss and nothing changes.
