Everyone. I am looking to see if there is an available tournament schedule for any version of the game. Would love to meet new people and compete a little bit pushing plastic.

Got it, bracket updated -
Don’t go 'way, you’ll play the 2nd place finisher of Good_Captain and kwas!
-
@gamerman01 I love this mode - you loose once, but it is not automatically over!
-
It has been a long time since I’ve experienced double elimination, but from what was being said here, it made me think of it. Glad you like it, I’m confident others do too (besides you and me)
-
Would it be possible to add links to the game threads to the spreadsheet? I am interested in looking at other people’s games and if they were all there that would save a lot of searching time. Also, adding the sides in brackets after the player names would be a great idea as well. (e.g. VictoryFirst (Axis) - Gamerman01 (Allies).
-
Sure, that’s a great idea to put in what side was taken, I’ll do that.
So a couple thoughts on finding games.
#1 we are like the only guys playing in the tournament section right now, so the threads are super accessible.
#2 there is a thread ID number up in the URL. It’s the 5 digit number, and you can actually just enter that number after forums/topic/
and it will take you right there.#3 I can put a note/comment in the cell that I think you can see, but I would just put in the 5 digit number, so if you don’t understand how to do what I’m trying to describe, let me know
But we’re the only ones playing here right now, our games are at the top of the forum.

Sides are by agreement or bid as outlined by Gamerman.
So bids are not expected/required.
@The_Good_Captain laid out the options we’re playing with, like no neutrals, to pretty much “balance” the sides, and I think he is very qualified to do so
“By agreement” doesn’t just mean someone gives in, it means you can horse trade until you agree on the sides.
No one should have to play the side they don’t want. Bidding is one way to resolve this, but it’s not the only way. You might play “no new complexes” for example.
Russian restricted and no neutrals go a long way toward nerfing the Allies. I have very little experience playing Classic in competitive play, so I don’t know who has the edge, but it surely isn’t a very big edge, and it’s probably different for each player’s perception. So bidding is an excellent way for each player to get the side they want, but if you don’t like adding pieces (or taking away) from the board, that is very understandable. Find another way if you and your opponent want to.
If you still can’t resolve, Good Captain and/or I can help make sure both players are satisfied before the Russian purchase

@gamerman01 defeats @VictoryFirst after Hitler and Stalin decided to do a capital swap.

Both sides waved politely as they marched by each other

@The_Good_Captain Hello TGC,
gamer has told me that I can be a late addition to the tournament. And get to play you in the first round (gulp).
Set us up when ready, let me know your bid, please

@leemorrison sending you a PM

Elche (Axis) vs Ragnell804 (Allies)
Ragnell804 wins -
@elche that matches you up against @VictoryFirst but he is swamped in real life and has a lot of A&A games open, just to tell you right now
Ragnell, let me know when you’ve caught your breath again and want to start a brand new game of Classic, with all the drama of round 1 that goes with it
Ragnell v elche ends! On G22
Will either of you provide a summary?
I followed through round 12 but the continuous infantry shucking started to bore me -
TGC’s Allies let Martin with his Axis no chance. Good game!
-
@leemorrison is waiting for you! Hopefully.
Winner of your next game will march in the direction of the championship!
Loser can go… find something else to do!

Holy cow!
10 days, 11 rounds, game over!
The_Good_Captain falls, BUT, making it to the “semi-final” of the winner bracket, plops down to await the final game of the losers bracket! So @The_Good_Captain only need finish off the survivor of the rest of the loser bracket, and he would have the chance to rematch his arch-nemesis @Ragnell804, but has to win twice!
@Ragnell804 will also have to sit around and wait, re-fueling tanks and replacing broken parts on aircraft while awaiting the eventual winner of the LOSERS!!
He is one victory away from a sparkling, very expensive crown that I will not provide. Maybe we should have required an entry fee. But in that case, probably only Ragnell and The_Good_Captain would have participated and that does not make for a very good tournament. So. No crown.
Well fought gentlemen
